CASTING CALLS
Relic Films is now casting The Witching Hours, an independent feature film. This first film in the Witching Hours series is to be released with a direct to DVD distribution route, as well being submitted to the film festival circuit. The Witching Hours offers the best of the genre films; the supernatural, the thriller, suspense, a wicked dry sense of humor and a touch of fantasy while offering a very strong female ensemble cast. This film truly showcases an almost entirely female cast, one that is truly unique, refreshingly powerful and is unapologetic in it's 'down to earth' grounded settings, only further drawing us in to their extraordinary happenings. A memorable, fresh take on a modern day tale; one that could only take place during The Witching Hours.
The first feature length film in The Witching Hours series introduces the mysterious seaside realm of Harbour Town and it's clandestine inhabitants. This supernatural thriller chronicles the story lines of those descending from powerful bloodlines harnessing unique and innate supernatural abilities. A truly haunting mix of the supernatural, the mortal and the dead.

Now casting for the upcoming independent feature DOWN THE CHAIN (Drama/Action/Sci-Fi. Estimated run time ~70 minutes; 24p HD).
The story revolves around Jacob, a man struggling to break free from his life of crime. When all of his debts finally catch up with him, he has one chance to set everything straight...and maybe even fix the past at the same time.
We're looking to start shooting mid to late September, probably around the 20th for 2-3 weeks. The budget is absolutely abysmal, and as a result all compensation will be deferred. However, no role has you on set for longer than a week, and in most cases only 2 to 3 days. Locations so far range from L.A. to San Diego, and transportation will be provided.
This is very much a passion project, and one for which we're having to take the anything-to-get-it-done approach. We have a solid crew committed to producing the best story we can with the limited resources at our disposal.
Most of the budget is going toward food, so even if your wallets are empty, your stomachs won't be.
The nearest target goal is to get it into the Slamdance Film Festival (latest submission deadline is late October). Lofty, I know, but what's the point in aiming low, right?
Please reply to this email with a headshot, resume, demo reel (would be awesome), links to previous work, etc. If you seem like a good fit, I'll shoot you some sides for the character(s) you're interested in playing and we'll go from there.
Thanks for taking the time to read all this and I look forward to meeting you. Director: Sam Type: Feature Film Union: Non-Union
